Principal's Welcome
Dear Eagle Harlem Community,
It is with great enthusiasm & excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the Interim Acting Principal of Eagle Academy for Young Men of Harlem. I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school committed to the pursuit of academic excellence, strong character and responsible leadership. I have worked with students from all over New York City ranging in age from Pre-Kindergarten through and including college. My most recent administrative experience was in the Alternate Learning Centers where I served as the Assistant Principal in a 9-12 program focused on creating a culture of trust, integrity, resilience and high expectations. I am eager to bring my skills as an educational leader to Eagle Academy for Young Men of Harlem and work diligently with you as a partner in education to ensure your child's success.
Along with the teachers and staff, I will work tirelessly to continue the legacy of success established by Eagle Academy for Young Men of Harlem by building strong relationships with parents, students and community partners. We will continue to build an ideal school environment where students feel safe, comfortable, challenged and engaged in class. We will encourage students and staff to celebrate each other as well as our differences. In efforts to increase family engagement we will promote parent involvement and collaboration in all school activities.
All of us at Eagle Academy for Young Men are eager and excited to begin what promises to be the best year ever. This year is going to be amazing as we continue to provide academic experiences for our students that are rigorous, relevant, and help them build relationships while making real-world connections. As your Interim Acting Principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors is excited to be here! This attitude enables us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, nurturing, and cultivating environment. My door is always open and I welcome your feedback.
