Student Participation Guides:
Dear Families,
On Tuesday and Wednesday, March 29th and 30th, students in Grades 6-8 will be taking the New York State English Language Arts Examination. On Tuesday and Wednesday, April 26th and 27th, students in Grades 6-8 will be taking the New York State Mathematics Examination. Last year, due to COVID-19 restrictions, those families who wanted their children to take these exams, needed to opt-in and register to sit for the tests. This year, we return to the annual protocol of all Grade 6-8 students taking the tests unless parents advise school administration otherwise.
Please encourage students to arrive to school on time, well-rested, and with a snack. Cell phones and other electronic devices are prohibited from entering the testing rooms and may be secured in their lockers or they will be secured by the test proctors prior to commencement of the exams and returned by end of the day.
If you have any questions or require further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact A.P. Davis at [email protected]
For questions regarding student participation for NYS grades 3–8 ELA and math exams, refer to this Student Participation in Grades 3–8 New York State Tests – School Guide which has also been emailed to families.
